Jeremy Bible & Jason Henry – Vryashn (Infraction, 2011)

// The time between 2007 and 2010 saw a highly prolific output from the duo of Jeremy Bible and Jason Henry. Vryashn, a standout from this productive period, draws its inspiration from the unknown and uncharted. Like the sentiments echoed in the Mystery Sea and Unfathomless labels, or the funereal notes struck by Jonathan Coleclough on his seminal Period, Bible & Henry open a gateway for conjuring their own subaquatic dronescapes. An array of field recordings are presented, but it is the piano, bleary and pulled apart, that is the main focus here. Vryashn has the power to slip between realms, like a soundtrack to a dream within a dream.
