// Troum is the old German word for dream, and it is perhaps Sen, the group’s second album, that best documents an attempt to reach listeners’ inner spheres of consciousness. Originally recorded and released as an uninterrupted hour for the influential Mort Aux Vaches series, this reissue sees that hour stretched across four sides of vinyl. Though rife with icy, industrial guidance, Sen only hints at the cacophony Troum would kick up on later releases. Listening back, the work remains integral to the band’s canon. Up there with seminal drone albums from the likes of Mirror, Zoviet France and Coil.
